Alfredo Castro is a Mexican film editor based in Berlin, Germany, where he develops his professional activities as editor of both fictional and documentary films. He studied at the renowned german film school Babelsberg Konrad Wolf. His works as editor have participated at several international film festivals like Guadalajara International Film Festival, Morelia International Film Festival, Havana Film Festival, CAMERIMAGE, DOKMünchen, Thessaloniki Documentary Festival, among others.

 

Besides his work as editor, he has developed his talents in the areas of direction, production, sound design and music composition, covering a variety of genres such as video art, animation, documentary and fiction.

Alfredo Castro holds also a bachelor degree in philosophy at the University of Veracruz and is a graduate of the Media Arts Center in Guadalajara, Mexico.
